RULES
Many tournaments restrict some techniques in order to limit the number of injuries incurred by the competitors. While we at ShootHook believe that this is certainly a good idea for newcomers to the sport, we also think that it sometimes hinders the game of many more experienced grapplers. For this reason we have limited technique restrictions.

TIME LIMITS
We have extended the time limits as compared to most other grappling tournaments so as to allow additional set-up time for submissions as well as to inspire grapplers to attempt to submit their opponents as quickly as possible. Does anybody really want to grapple for 15 minutes?
If the time limit expires before either grappler can gain a submission, the match will continue with a 2 minute overtime period. If there is still no winner at the end of the overtime period, the match will be decided by the referee based solely upon the 2 minute overtime.
